Thank You

DOTHAN, Ala. – I want to take this opportunity to thank the people of the 2nd Congressional District, for making this campaign such a wonderful experience for me. As I crisscorssed the district from north to south, I had the chance to meet and listen to thousands of wonderful Alabamians. Each of you, whether you agreed with me or not, welcomed me with open arms, listened to what I had to say, and on each and every ocassion were gracious and kind. I made new friends, renewed old acquaintences, and came away better for each and every person I met along the way. It was indeed an honor and a privilege to meet all of you.

To my family, friends and supporters, words cannot express how overwhelmed and touched i have been with your hard work, generosity, enthusiasm, and prayers. Many times the days during a campaign get long, but on each occasion when I needed a boost, one, and oftentimes, many of you, were there with a smile, a word of encouragement, much needed financial support or wise counsel. Never understimate how much your love and suport meant to me during this campaign and will continue to mean to me. Each one of you is amazing and while many counted us out, you would not quit.

While we fell short of our goal and I am disappointed n the results, I would not exchange this experience for anything. I have been blessed beyond measure. Thank you all from the bottom of my heart.
